{Guest Post} Kym

?
Continuing with my beautiful Spring Break posters, I have the incredible Kym here today! Kym was one of those people I intantly connected with. I feel like we would be best friends if we lived anywhere near each other! She is SO funny, super stylish (of course) and I feel like we always have the same weather for some reason? Also, she's adorable and the queen of perfect layering!

Hello lovely H&GA readers!  I'm Kym and I blog over at bitty.and.bunny.  I was thrilled when Jessi asked me to guest post while she's off basking in the beautiful Bahamas.  She is one of my favorite bloggers, and she inspires me on a nearly daily basis.  How could I pass up the chance to be a part of that?!
She's asked us to put together a spring break look.  Since I'm finished with school, I no longer get spring breaks.  Which is just as well, seeing as how it's still very much winter where I live, so I don't really get spring, either.  After complaining about the cold, wishing for it to go away, and even resorting to blaming the groundhog for getting my hopes up for an early spring, I've finally just accepted the fact that it'll stay chilly for a little while longer.  It gives me a chance to cozy up in my sweaters, get a little more wear out of my tights and boots, and maybe justify a few extra hot chocolates or ten.
{h&m sweater (so similar!) & scarf | target dress (cute option) | ON tights | steve madden boots}

So on this chilly day, I decided to pull out my trusty chevron dress and throw a big sweater & scarf over it.  I bought the dress about a year ago, and since then I've come to find that it's one of the most versatile pieces in my closet.  I literally wear it a couple times every month or two (and yes, it gets washed between wearings...usually).  If you'd like to see some of the other ways I styled it, you can check them out here, here, here, here, & here, and hopefully it'll inspire you to keep on rocking your dresses throughout the entire year as well!
If you'd like to share some of the ways you style your dresses throughout the seasons, then by all means please hop on over and leave me a link!  I'd love to steal your ideas see them.
It's been great meeting you! (and by meeting you, I really mean you meeting me).

{Guest Post} Chioma

?Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! Since I'm currently stretched out on a big boat soaking up the glorious tropical Sunshine (or something like that) I didn't celebrate much this year.
Anyway, today I have Chioma here to dazzle you all! She is the ultimate queen of color you guys! Every single time I visit her pretty blog I leave wanting to copy her color combos. She literally brightens my day (cheesy, sorry). And I'm pretty jealous of how well she rocks that pop of pink on her lips.

Hi everyone!! Im Chioma from Cs Evolution of Style and Im so excited to be guest posting for my friend Jessica while shes enjoying her vacation in the Bahamas!! Jessica asked me to style my idea of a Spring Break look for all of you. The weather hasn't quite gotten the memo that its Spring yet, so to combat such unpredictable weather, this has been my everyday uniform. Skinny jeans, a vibrant blazer, and a statement bag are ideal for going shopping or out for drinks with friends during spring break! Thanks for reading and feel free to visit the blog to check out other looks Ill be sporting for spring!

Hello, my name is Megan- I'm a hair salon owner and beauty blogger over at TheBeautySnoop.com I am excited to be a guest today, plus I get to talk to you about one of my favorite topics; Warm Weather Beauty. If you are gearing up for Spring Break or just planning a summer trip to your local pool, don't forget to take along my must-have beauty items so that you always feel and look your best.

1. Evian Mineral Water Spray The only time I have ever really splurged on a hotel was on my honeymoon in Maui. We stayed at the Four Seasons and one of the best parts of the trip was the poolside amenities. Handsome young men would walk around the pool offering patrons cold towels and spritzes of Evian Spray. It made me feel like a celebrity, but it also made my skin feel ahhhmazing. The mineral spray refreshes warm skin and helps remove sweat and salt water. Now I never go to the pool without a travel can in my beach bag. *Paparazzi optional

2. Buxom Lip Gloss You'll find at least three tubes of this stuff in my purse at any given time. I have almost every color- but I find that when I am not wearing much makeup (say at the pool for instance) wearing a darker berry shade makes me look as though I am still wearing enough color to feel confident. The tingly plumping action is just an added bonus to the great shades.

3. Nerd Glasses My best Spring Break memories all involve 'alternative ID' games that I played with my girl friends. Whenever we would meet a new group of guys, we would introduce ourselves as a different name and identity. (I rock a really great English accent) The fun part would be trying to remember which name we were currently using without exposing the game. It always ends in laugh-attacks and confused boys... highly recommended!

4. Sun Shade Hat Everyone knows the damage that sun can cause to your beautiful skin. So look great while protecting yourself in a stylish fedora. This one is a great size, offering a large enough brim to protect your face, but it's not too floppy that you can't see out from underneath of it. Tres Chic.

5. Image Matte Sun Block My favorite skin care line is Image Skin Care I use it daily and have had great results with it for my own acne-prone skin. Their oil-free sunscreen smells amazing (citrus flavor) and doesn't leave skin shiny or slippery. I use it year round, but I never go to the pool without it either.

6. Color Block Swim Suit I kind of loathe swim suit shopping, especially only six months after having baby number two... but there are more cute one piece suits out this season than I have ever seen. I love this color block option from TopShop, especially since the color combo is so unique. Red and Pink can be friends after all, who knew?

7. Goody Spin Pins If you love a casual updo like I do, you'll love the possibilities with Spin Pins. These pins are great for tying up a loose bun of curls when you are going from beach-day to date-night. Just loosely wrap your tousled hair into a low bun, then spin the pins in at the base of the bun for a secure hold that screams 'easy and breezy'.

I hope you have a fabulous Spring Break and summer season. I know I can't wait to get a little sunshine on my face and spend time with friends. What are your summer essential beauty products? Let us know in the comments below. And be sure and stop by my blog and say hello too!

Radiant (& Bon Voyage!)

Hey lovelies!! Just wanted to drop in real quick and say goodbye! I'm headed to the airport in a couple hours! Goodbye Utah, Hello Bahamas!! I'm dizzy with excitement!
Hope you have an awesome Easter Weekend/Spring Break (if it's Spring Break for you too). I have some amazing guest posters while I'm gone so be sure to pop in and give them a visit :) They'll all be sharing Spring Break inspired looks!

P.S. These pics are a little preview of my Flock Together post for this Friday. I'm wearing my new favorite coppery shade of shadow that Radiant Cosmetics sent me. It's properly named "Honest Abe" being the perfect penny-like color. You should definitely check out Radiant if you love makeup like me! I'm obsessed. They have the best lipsticks I've heard, so that's my next purchase! And the best part, they donate a minimum of 20% of profits from each purchase to stop human trafficking! Such an important and overlooked cause. You can read all about this amazing company and what they're doing here.

Scalloped

Ok bare with me, I think I'm having the same problem as Elana with it being too bright for good photos! Oh and definitely too windy when I took these! Also I'm typing this up at work because I'm a slacker and didn't want to stay up all night when I had to wake up so early! :)
The darling Rachel sent me this scalloped top to borrow. I LOVE everything scalloped but for some reason I don't own anything? What's up with that? I also love lace so this was an amazing combo! I wore it a few different ways but this was my favorite and the only one I happened to take pics in.
(^ I love this one haha it reminds me of that movie House Bunnies where she's trying to do the sexy Marilyn Monroe thing and burns her legs BAD)
I look like I'm dancing in a few of these! I really wasn't having that much fun (and trust me you don't want to see me trying to strike a move) it was mostly the wind.
I'm excited to start pulling out some Spring pieces assuming that Spring actually comes and stays. These shoes are probably my favorite wedge ever. I love the colors and the fact that they're super tall but so comfy and easy to wear. I also feel like they go with everything (but that might just be wishful thinking). And I love wearing these biker short leggings under shorter skirts. They have little hearts on them!

P.S. If you haven't checked out my guest post on the beautiful Ashley's blog yet, go HERE. She wrote me The. Sweetest. Intro. EVER! Seriously, I was blushing :)

Sundays are my favorite because they're all about being lazy!

Old Navy Blogger Event

Happy happy weekend dolls!
I can't believe how fast this week flew by. No complaints here though! I'll never be less than ecstatic for a nice low-key weekend. Thought I'd share some photos from the Old Navy Event Thursday night. The Old Navy at Sugar House invited Me, Gentri, Amy & Sasha for a night of styling and fun. We got to pick out our outfits a few days prior and we each got our own mannequin to dress as well! Which was SO much fun. (I might miss the days of dressing mannequins when I worked retail).
(Amy, Me, Gentri, Sasha / Shopping Bags)
(the four of us in our Old Navy wear)
(our mannequins / Me, Sasha, Gentri, Amy)
Old Navy provided sparkling cider and blue & white candies for all the customers and bloggers as well as a discount to use that night!
Kelsey and Jenny showed up so we had to get a photo with all of us! It was so fun to be surrounded by all these cute blogger friends! And I was completely obsessed with Kelsey's darling shoes! Seriously. Who wouldn't be?!
Thanks to Old Navy for inviting us out! What a fun night with such beautiful girls! It was so fun visiting old friends and meeting new ones. Oh, and Gentri and I were able to sneak out for a few minutes and get outfit photos so look for those tomorrow!
