Varsity

More snow photos from yours truly! I promise the snow is melted now and we're headed into Spring like most everyone else. I'm just doing a little "Spring Cleaning" of all my old photos before I start posting fun warmer-weather looks. So bare with me! I'm almost through them all :)

So I borrowed this skirt from Dus a couple months back and as soon as I put it on I felt so 50's and wanted to throw on this varsity style jacket I bought earlier in the season. This outfit was totally different from my usual vibe but I loved it. I felt so 'Grease'. I feel like my glasses and favorite oxfords added to the retro feel.
Does anyone else feel like they're running around with their head cut off lately? I've been so scatter brained lately, I just feel like I have so much to do! (which may be the reason why this post is going up at 1 pm, sorry) I need a vacation! Haha. Good thing I have one planned or I might go insane.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

 Happy St. Patty's Day Loves!!
Hope you're all enjoying unusual green food or being extra lucky...or...drinking beer? Whatever this Holiday is about...Haha! All I know is it's the perfect excuse to wear the color of the year! (unless you want some random kid pinching you)
I decided to mix my two favorite shades of green, emerald and mint! I really love how it came out. This skirt is one of my finds from the Vintage Whites Market last weekend! Isn't it gorgeous?! I mean it's emerald green, lacey and the perfect length. It just screams Jessi. Plus it was only $11! No way I could pass that up! Oh, and I even tried a little emerald liner, although I'm not sure I love it...
So it's been in the 60's this weekend which makes this girl SO much happier! If only it would stay. Today's been super windy and a storm might be coming in. Hope you're all enjoying your weekend! I spent yesterday shopping for cruise attire :) and went on a double date to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Not the highlight of my day being a vegetarian but I did give in to a couple of their yummy rolls.

Outfit Details:
Top - Bags That Fit (local boutique)
Sweater & Heels - Thrifted
Skirt & Belt - Vintage

P.S. I'm super frustrated with this whole No More GFC thing! Would you pretty please take a minute to make sure you're following me on Bloglovin? Promise I'll do it for all of you too!

Vintage Whites Market

As promised, here's a few photos from my trip to the Vintage White's Market in Salt Lake last Saturday. It was seriously SO much fun and I took way too many pictures (don't worry I won't share them all with you). I spent the afternoon wandering from booth to booth with my Mom smitten by all the vintage goodness! I was in Heaven, I definitely need to make it out to more events like this.
They had a few events going on throughout the day including a Fashion Show sponsored by Ruche! The outfits consisted of both pieces from Ruche and vintage items and were meant to show fun ways to style your vintage finds. Here's a few of my favorite looks:
Loved that vintage fur coat!
Breck's Vintage provided all the runway outfits and had a super cute set-up! (left) Also, this doll head jar kind of gave me the creeps..
One shop, Abode, had a few pairs of awesome retro glasses. I couldn't help trying on these sweet cat-eyes!
I may have almost bought this darling fox bag. I mean, it's a fox. And it's velvety. How much more me could it get?! But I stuck to my plans of only buying clothes and staying under $40. Yep, it was hard! But I have to save my money for the Cruise ;)
I thought this was such a cute idea to use vintage buttons as magnets! And this lady was so amazing at drawing darling owls. SO many of them.
I tried on this funky feather head piece for kicks and giggles. Totally reminds me of a flapper girl!
(this piece was also from Abode)
Those things above are fake taxidermy lion and bear heads! I thought they would be so cute in a kid's room! My mom found them a little creepy.
And here's what I wore to the Market:
I had one of the girls of Vintage Whites ask to take my photo and then another shop owner asked when I was posing for these. I was so flattered (and happy to say that my belt, bag and shoes were all vintage!) Too bad this isn't even my dress, it's the sweet and darling Jessica's of Midwest Muse. So glad she lent it to me! I'm kind of obsessed. Wish I could take it on the cruise with me!
I can't wait to show you the pieces I ended up getting in future posts :) Did any of you here in Utah go?
Well, have a HAPPY WEEKEND lovelies!! It's finally here!

Baby Doll

The week is halfway over guys! I might make it! Seriously though, this time change thing is kicking my butt. I started the week on too little sleep and I just can't catch up! It doesn't help that work has been super slow and I'm trying to quit drinking caffeine-filled soda. I might just fall asleep at my desk people!
So these photos are pretty old, but unfortunately the scenery hasn't changed so much. I'm still hanging on to a small hope that Spring will come this month. After all, the temperatures have rised quite a bit this week!
Note the little doggy in a few of these photos. The patch of grass I'm standing on is actually a trail my parents made for their dogs to go potty in the Winter :) They're spoiled chihuahuas that don't like to brave the cold, haha!
Today's post brings you another borrowed dress - I love being a part of Flock Together for that reason!! I get to wear all kinds of pretty dresses that don't belong to me without breaking the budget, it's AWESOME. This one belongs to the lovely Rachel (see her post here). It's actually a vintage baby doll style kid's dress! I took a cue from the dresses owner and tried out some knee highs over tights. I really love this combo and I don't wear it nearly enough! Also, sorry to subject you to the same blazer two days in a row-haha! It is one of my favorites
 Outfit Details:
Dress - Rachel's (via Flock Together)
Blazer - ModCloth
Tights - Target
Knee Highs - Forever 21
Oxfords - Forever Young Shoes

Inspiration: Blazing

It's been WAY too long since I joined Megan & Nora for Inspiration Monday and when I saw that this week's inspiration included lovely emerald shoes and a colorful blazer I jumped right back into the game! Olivia Palmero is the inspiration and she's giving me total shoe envy! The pointy toes, the straps, and especially the gorgeous color. I pulled out the closest shoe I had (they just happen to be my wedding shoes) they're one of my very favorite pairs :)
I thought Elana's beautiful bow dress would be perfect for this look, and mostly I just wanted an excuse to wear it! That girl has some of the best dresses! I found this one to be especially flattering since the bow adds volume where I don't have any ;) It was a bit shapeless otherwise, so I added a belt (like I do with almost everything) Oh, and I really love the loose half sleeves too! They really add to the pretty factor.
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend and aren't suffering too much from the time change! I hate to lose an hour of sleep but it'll be oh-so-nice to have more time after work for photos! Plus it's always less depressing to have some sunlight left after the work day. The most exciting part of my weekend was attending the Vintage White's Market with my Mom. Ruche sponsored a fashion show and there were tons of lovely vendors! I was in vintage heaven! I took so many pics and found a few pretty pieces I can't wait to share with you! Oh, and if you follow Vintage Whites on Instagram you might just see my photo. I had a few people ask to take my picture because they liked my outfit. Haha! So flattering. Too bad I don't have Insta and won't be able to see the pics..
